BASIC TECHNICAL DRAFTING
Grades 10-12
Certification: AutoCAD
This course introduces students to the technical elements of drafting, which include instruments, lettering, sketching, applied geometry, projections, pictorial representation, dimensioning, sectioning, symbols and auxiliaries. Students will use AutoCAD software as they become proficient in drafting skills.
ADVANCED TECHNICAL DRAFTING
Grades 10-12
Prerequisite: Basic Technical Drafting Certification: Inventor
This course builds upon skills learned in Basic Technical Drafting and prepares students to sit for the Autodesk AutoCAD industry-based certification.
AUTOBODY I
Grades 10-12
Certification: I-CAR Platinum Role
This shop/classroom experience program offers specialized instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students with entry level skills in the servicing and maintaining of all types of automobiles. Students are prepared to complete I-CAR certifications. Preferential seating will be given to students on the TOPS Tech diploma pathway.
AUTOBODY II
Certification: I-Car Platinum
Grades 11-12
This shop/classroom experience program offers specialized instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students with entry level skills in the servicing and maintaining of all types of automobiles. This class also provides an internship experience at a local auto dealership or auto body shop. Preferential seating will be given to students on the TOPS Tech diploma pathway.
CITF PRE-APPRENTICESHIP I (FALL)
Grades 9-12
Certification: Career Connections Core
This course is designed to introduce students to the crafts and trade of carpentry. Units focus on careers in the field, construction mathematics, safety, and basic hand and cutting tools for cutting, shaping, fastening, and finishing. The class also provides hands-on experience for students as they complete step-by-step projects that require basic skills, including the tote box, step stool, bird house, and storage chest. Upon successful completion of the units, students will become certified in Career Connections Core industry-based certification. Preferential seating will be given to students on the Tops Tech diploma pathway.
CITF PRE-APPRENTICESHIP I (SPRING)
Grades 9-12
Prerequisite: Career Connections Core Certification Certification: Career Connections Level 1
This course provides hands-on experience for students as they complete step-by-step projects that require intermediate skills, including a saw horse, picnic table, and shed. Upon successful completion of the units, students will become certified in Career Connections, Level 1 industry-based certification. Preferential seating will be given to students on the Tops Tech diploma pathway. CITF PRE-APPRENTICESHIP II (FALL/SPRING) Grades 10-12 Prerequisite: Prerequisite: Career Connections Core and Career Connections, Level 1 Certification Certification: Career Connections Level II This course extends student knowledge of carpentry and applies it to commercial and residential settings. Upon successful completion of the units, students will become certified in Career Connections, Level 2 industry-based certification. Preferential seating will be given to students on the Tops Tech diploma pathway.

Certification: NCCER Level 2 HVAC
This course is offered on the NTCC campus. Transportation is provided, if necessary. This suite of college courses provides specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare individuals for employment as entry-level air conditioning and refrigeration technicians.
PRINCIPLES OF ENGINEERING (PLTW)
Grades 9-12
Principles of Engineering (PLTW) builds upon the foundational skills introduced in Basic and Advanced Technical Drafting, focusing on advanced concepts and hands-on applications. Students will explore topics such as hydraulics, electronics, disaster mitigation, and complex problem-solving through team-based design challenges. This course emphasizes innovation, real-world engineering applications, and critical thinking.
DE WELDING I (FALL)
Grades 11 and 12
Certification: Career Connections Core
This course is of ered on the NTCC campus. Transportation is provided, if necessary. This course is designed to introduce students to the crafts and trade of welding. Units focus on oxyfuel cutting and shielded metal arc welding. Upon successful completion of the units, students will become certified in Career Connections Core industry-based certification. Preferential seating will be given to students on the Tops Tech diploma pathway.
DE WELDING I (SPRING)
Grades 11 and 12
Certification: Career Connections, Level 1
Prerequisite: Career Connections Core Certification
This course is offered on the NTCC campus. Transportation is provided, if necessary. This course reviews oxyfuel and SMAW welding and introduces other welding processes such as plasma, MIG, TOG and flux-core. Industry partner review is required for Career Connections, Level 1 certification. Preferential seating will be given to students on the Tops Tech diploma pathway.
DE WELDING II (FALL/SPRING)
Grades 11 and 12
Certification: Career Connections, Level 2
Prerequisite: Career Connections Core and Career Connections, Level 1 Certification
This course is of ered on the NTCC campus. Transportation is provided, if necessary. This course extends knowledge of welding processes such as Groove 1G-4G. The course will be customized to meet the needs of local employers. Industry partner review is required for Career Connections, Level 2 certification. Preferential seating will be given to students on the Tops Tech diploma pathway.
