Spanish I- 1 year elective
Universal Jumpstart Course
Grades 10-12
This is an introductory level course for students with little to no knowledge of the Spanish language. It will cover basic conversation in the present tense, conjugation of present tense verbs, and basic vocabulary. Speaking and listening skills will be stressed throughout the course, but we will also focus on the structure of writing and reading. The student is also introduced to the different cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
Spanish II- 1 year elective
Universal Jumpstart Course
Grades 9-12
Prerequisite: Credit in Spanish I
Spanish II is a continuation of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture with more advanced vocabulary and grammar. Focus will be on the past & future tenses and the communicative aspect of language learning in a formal setting.
