BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS
Grades 10-12
Business communication courses teach students how to communicate effectively in a business setting. Students learn how to write and present information, as well as how to interact with others in a professional manner.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Universal Jumpstart Course
Grades 10-12
This course is designed to help entry-level sales and service associates learn skills related to frontline work in retail (or any industry that values customer service and sales skills). Students will be prepared to sit for the National Retail Federation Business of Retail industry-based certification exam.

DIGITAL MEDIA I
Grades 10-12
Certification: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
This course allows students to express their creativity through the use of a variety of digital programs including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Students will be prepared to sit for the Adobe Certified Associate industry-based certification exams in Photoshop and Illustrator.

FUNDAMENTALS OF HTML, CSS, AND JAVASCRIPT
Grades 10- 12
Certification: Fundamentals of Javascript, Functional Programming and Web Development, Level 1
Students learn the fundamentals of Web programming in JavaScript, HTML and CSS through designing and competing websites, animation and video game projects. Projects appear within a portfolio on the student's website project.

ADVANCED JAVASCRIPT, FUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMING, AND WEB DEVELOPMENT
Grades 11-12
Certification: Fundamentals of Javascript, Functional Programming and Web Development, Level 2
Prerequisite: Fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Level 1
Certification Continuing from Fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript this course dives deeply into advanced programming concepts, including jQuery, functional programming, and higher order functions. Additional projects build out the student’s website portfolio, including a study of widely used JavaScript functional programming libraries, basic data structures, and video games.

VIRTUAL WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE
Grade 12
This course is an online, work-based learning course that provides students with a guided tour of Louisiana’s high-wage, high-demand career sectors, including healthcare and pharmacy, construction crafts, information technology, automotive service and repair, advanced manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and business management and finance.
